The Shakespeare Beta FS is an entry-level free spool reel, designed for novice or junior anglers. The Shakespeare Beta range offers quality made products at an affordable price. This entry-level reel is specifically designed to help young or novice anglers hone their skills with free spool reels.
The free spool functionality is used by flicking the switch at the back. This engages a secondary clutch system that allows a fish to take line freely under light preset tension. To disengage the free spool system simply turn the handle, the Free Spool facility is automatically shut off and the normal drag setting is resumed allowing you to play and control the fish effectively.
The reel is made from a lightweight polymeric material, which is not only durable but will minimise fatigue when playing specimen sized fish or learning to cast with a larger sized reel.
The Shakespeare Beta FS has a sleek, black colour scheme and is available in various sizes for you to choose from, it also pairs perfectly with the Shakespeare Beta rod range, which provides you a well-balanced setup.
